Vietnam - Brazil trade: Prospect reach the mark of 4 million USD in 2015

Brazil's economy is retrogressive, forecasted that GDP fell by 3% in 2015, Brazil's trade volume with the world decreased by 19.5% comparing to the same period last year. However, thanks to the effort in trade promotion of the business and the interest of enterprises, total trade turnover between Vietnam and Brazil are still growing by 20.8% over the same time, approaching the prospect $ 4 billion mark in 2015.

According to data of the Vietnam General Customs Department, the bilateral trade turnover of Vietnam and Brazil in the first 9 months in 2015 reached 2.723 billion US dollars, up 20.8% over the same period in 2014, while exports reached 1,144 billion, up 9.7% over the same period; imports reached 1.579 billion US dollars, up 30.3% over the same period.

Most of the main export items of Vietnam to Brazil in the first 9 months of 2015 have reached a relatively high growth, including phones and accessories turnover reach 433.3 million USD, up 25% over the same time; Computers electronic components reached 79.2 million, up 19%; Other machinery spare parts 61.3 million USD, up 6%; Textiles reached 55.3 million, up 11%; Transport means and spare parts 42.8 million USD, up 10.3%; Textile erosion 31.2 million USD, decreased 34%; Footwear reached 169.3 million USD, down 16.4%; Aquatic products reached 54.4 million, down 42.9% over the same period.

The import commodities main imported from Brazil including corn reached 610.5 million USD, increased 52.6% over the same period; Animal feed and raw materials reached 231.3 million, up 26.5% over the same period; Footwear textile materials 143.9 million USD, up 23.7%; Wheat reached 75.1 million (same period import data not shown); Cotton reached 86.9 million USD, up 138%; Soybeans at 220.8 million USD, decreased 18.6%.
